About Me

I have been in the painting trade since 1986. I started working part-time for smaller painting companies and on my own during the summers, and then in 1989 decided to paint full time.

I joined a larger Residential/Commercial/Industrial painting contractor in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I was hired as a helper/painter and was promoted through the ranks of the company to the position of production manager, a position I held for 2 1/2 years. During my 7 ½ years with this company, it allowed me the opportunity to receive my “Journeyman Painter Certificate” through formal training, and learn a variety of painting and leadership skills in Residential, Commercial, and Industrial painting, such as, material applications, team building, motivation, problem solving, and customer care.

In the fall of 1997, I started my own successful painting company and enjoyed long term business relationships with several valued clients in the Residential/Commercial/Industrial fields. I moved to Elk Grove, CA in the fall of 2007, and married my wife Michele. She was a widow with three teenage daughters who are all rooted in the Sacramento area. Michele and I decided that it was in the best interest of our family to not move to Calgary, but to sell my painting business in Calgary, and relocate to Elk Grove, CA to bond with my new family.
